OOC PERMISSIONS

Player: Prince

Preferred Contact: PM

Usual tagging times/pace: Pacific. I tend to tag in the evening.

Backtagging: I'll backtag for as long as we want to keep threading.

Fourthwalling policy: I'm cool with vague fourthwalling but if you're unsure or want to go more blatant, get in touch with me first.

Action vs. Prose: I'm cool with either.

Offensive Subjects & Triggers: Sexual scenarios can be uncomfortable for me. I'd appreciate being contacted prior to things escalating in that direction; sometimes all I need is a GOOD OL' HEADS-UP. I'll contact you if anything else gets under my skin, so don't worry too much about this.

IC PERMISSIONS

Physical Violence: Absolutely cool by me. Your character can swing a punch and you don't need to ask me about it, but anticipate that Henry might retaliate in kind and won't hold back if he feels threatened. Minor injury, OK. If you're gunning for more serious injury, feel free to get in touch.

Mental Information: Mind-reading, empathic abilities, and the like are all cool by me. Henry's described as feeling inhuman and unstable, mentally speaking, so there's that. Since I'm playing him post-game with A-supports across the board, his humanity has improved somewhat!

Physical Affection: OOCly, affectionate gestures are okay by me, ranging from romantic to platonic. ICly, Henry doesn't know what personal space is and has literally tried to climb into another guy's tight-fitting armor just to keep him company, so... he's all over that.

IC Triggers: In spite of his traumatic past, Henry takes all matters with grace.

Relationships: All relationships are cool. Henry's taken a few Humaning Tips from being post-canon and has improved at developing meaningful relationships with fellow humans, so friendships, familial relationships, and romantic relationships are A-OK. I'm also perfectly open to negative CR, but Henry's difficult to provoke, so he might just continue interacting positively in spite of the obvious signs of disapproval from the other party.

Are you interested in participating in the game's smut opt-ins? Not necessarily, but if you're interested in that with Henry, feel free to get in touch. As outlined above, unless previously contacted regarding smut scenarios I am not okay with it.

If yes, please state your preferences: No preferences.

POWER-SPECIFIC AND/OR SPOILER PERMISSIONS

• Henry performs dark magic. Due to this, he's also disciplined in a wide array of curses, spells, and rituals related to his study. In canon, spells/curses practiced by or suggested by dark mages include:

behavior alteration
...such as acting like a cat, acting like a bird

personality alteration
...such as giving a person an opposite personality

mood alteration
...acts like a contagion of mood, such as happiness, terror, lifted spirits, affection. can also remove feelings

illness
...such as fever, cold, terminal illnesses

smells terrible

enhanced stamina

invisibility

sleep
...can be either involuntary sleep or a sleep-aid

mind control
...such as complete obedience, falling in love, coerce victim to leave

loss of voice, silence

truth-telling
...the consequences of managing to lie while forced to tell the truth is immediate death

transformation
...such as turning into a toad

memory loss
...also included is memory alteration. to remove a memory also requires complete loss of any associated memory

mind reading
...such as reading memories, feelings, state of mind

instant death
...kills victim instantly upon conditions determined by the sorcerer. for example, victim is killed instantly if they receive a fatal injury

time reversal
...has applications to physical time. ex: returning a broken bowl to its former state. this curse is temporary

body swap

illusions
...cannot be interacted with or touched, but are convincing to the eye

Those are only canon curses. Just because it hasn't happened in canon doesn't mean it can't happen, within reason. Dark mages can also enchant/charm items and brew potions with some of the same effects in the event that a curse cannot be placed through conventional means. Dark mages are unable to create life or restore life with a curse, unless it is to revive the dead as undead.

• Beyond curses and spells, Henry's capable of divination. His divination can predict future events, such as the outcome of a battle or the future of an individual, but his sights are not thorough. When a dark mage reads the future, fate can be changed and the outcome predicted by their sight can be avoided – if Henry predicts that a character is in grave danger, simply knowing this and acting upon the prediction can change the character's fate. Henry can also use divination to locate something and determine its status and location (example: locating a character's mother and relaying how she fairs).

• Dark mages can channel the dead after lots of preparation, but it takes a toll on their bodies.

• Being "really in touch with the natural world," Henry can communicate with living creatures, ranging from crows to flowers.

If you would like to plot anything using any of Henry's powers and abilities, please let me know! I'd be excited for the prospect.

This is also the space where I will mention that I play Henry with his localized speaking cadence, but I play him with his original backstory, which I find more compelling than Elite-Exclusive Wizard School/Mage Camp/The-Localization-Can't-Keep-Its-Story-Straight. (Any personality changes will result from adopting the original backstory.) The Fire Emblem Wiki briefly outlines what these differences are, but there are plenty of other fan-translated resources available (support conversations, write-ups) that I'd be willing to hunt down. You can read a summary of his original backstory in his app.
